Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction
These terms govern your use of this website and your stay at Pumba Lodge, Pumba Manor and Little Pumba, run by Pumba Collective ("we", "us") in Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate. By using this website or making a reservation, you agree to them.
2. Reservations and payment
All reservations are subject to availability. Direct bookings are made on our booking site, book.pumba-lodge.co.za, and are confirmed by the booking confirmation you receive from it.
- Any deposit, the balance and when it is due are shown at checkout and in your booking confirmation.
- Rates are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise stated.
3. Cancellation
The cancellation policy that applies to your booking is the one shown at checkout and in your booking confirmation. If you booked through Booking.com, Airbnb or another channel, that channel's booking conditions apply.
Our booking site currently shows these policies. If anything here differs from your confirmation, your confirmation applies.
Pumba Lodge
- Free cancellation until 5 days before check-in. 50% refund until 24 hours before.
Pumba Manor
- Free cancellation until 5 days before check-in. 50% refund until 24 hours before.
Little Pumba
- Free cancellation until 5 days before check-in. 50% refund until 24 hours before.
4. Check-in and check-out
Check-in and check-out times are shown in your booking confirmation. Our booking site currently lists these times; if your confirmation differs, your confirmation applies.
- Pumba Lodge: Check-in from 14:00, check-out by 10:00.
Early check-in or late check-out may be arranged subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
5. Guest conduct
Guests are expected to act responsibly and respect the property, the wildlife and other guests. We may refuse service to, or remove, guests who do not.
- Respect wildlife and keep a safe distance at all times.
- Do not feed or approach wild animals.
- Follow all safety instructions you are given.
- Avoid excessive noise that may disturb wildlife or other guests.
6. Liability
Our lodges are in a wildlife estate with free-roaming animals. You acknowledge the inherent risks of being close to wildlife. We are not liable for any injury, loss or damage arising from interactions with wildlife, provided reasonable safety measures have been communicated.
We are not responsible for loss of or damage to personal belongings. Please secure your valuables and consider travel insurance.
7. Children
The children policy for each lodge is shown on our booking site and in your booking confirmation.
- Pumba Lodge: Children of any age are welcome.
Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising children at all times, particularly given the presence of wildlife.
8. Intellectual property
All content on this website, including text, images, logos and design, belongs to Pumba Collective and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute or use it without our written permission.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms at any time. Changes take effect when they are posted on this website, and continued use of the website means you accept them.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
